Thank you for this. I'm Jewish and most interested in Reform and related movements, which are syncretic with Christianity. There are many parallels between these issues in the Jewish communities I know and the issues you describe in the church. Basically, people are not finding the old congregational model spiritually fulfilling and are looking for new ones. I'm following you now. I'd love to see an article of yours where you describe the Backyard Church and the specifics of what happens in its community. What in particular have you done or are you trying to do, involving social justice, outreach to the poor, and such? It seems you have a very interesting model.
