It takes experiencing it to realize how pervasive racism is. Racists can't put on a black skin and see how people react, and most of them wouldn't want to which shows how aware they are of racism. They just don't care and want to guard their own privilege.

"I'm not racist" usually precedes something VERY racist.

Sometimes I wish I could go about as a man, too, and get all the leeway and respect I'd automatically have.
