It may become more mainstream if Jews and Palestinians recognize they can get more by cooperating, than by being in conflict.
I run an Israel-Palestine peace forum, Unity is Strength, which is basically a place for people to try presenting their own views and experiences minus the bigotry, and for moderates to find common ground. Here it is on Quora: https://www.quora.com/q/unityisstrength

Moderate voices have the advantage of being able to leverage both sides. They also tend to be less vulnerable to attacks from the other side, than extremists. These are not the people the other side will want to present as what's wrong, because the case is much harder to make. If we present the case that moderates have some type of advantage, and their voices can be amplified, we can win.
I feel like I'm in about the right place when I have Israeli/pro-Israel and Palestinian/pro-Palestine voices in roughly equal number, finding maximal common ground, and am getting about the same amount of praise and criticism from both sides. That's my measure of where the center is, especially assuming Jews and Palestinians are roughly equal in population. And then you can start with positions that benefit everyone, which is still not so well explored territory. But it needs to be explored if we want the nice solution.
